Duke's blog

Hey June where's the beaver?

Good riddance May that was a tough month for trail riding and racing. The first time I have seen races postponed or delayed and I think its leaving everyone with a testosterone overload. I am hoping that June will deliver the weather before we have a major white out.

There are many fun events going on this month so check the site Calendar I'm sure I will see many of you out there this month.

Spring Thaw

Well we have made it through the worst of winter and the visions of sunny days are starting to fill our heads. Soon we will be riding along those dusty trails without a care in the world. We should stop and remember to take care of the trails and the little creatures of the forest.

March is here and along with it some warmer average temps High/Low: 42 ºF / 25 ºF and that brings me to the IMBA tip of the month.

"Trails are easily damaged by hiking and cycling (and should be avoided) during the spring
freeze-thaw cycle, when the temperature drops into the 20s at night, then climbs into the 40s during the day".

That is all for now.

Team Enrollment 2010

If you would like to be considered for the 2010 season email your resume to team_2010 [at] mysinglespeed [dot] com. A team list will be made available and posted here on our site at the beginning of March. I will be posting up the final kit design in the next couple days and start order taking then.

2010 Jersey Preview

The shorts, socks and caps are 100% the same as last year. The jerseys will get a little updating, here is a rough preview, more detail coming.

SS Racing and the Team 2010

There has been quite a few changes this off season. We have decided to keep it simple meaning the commitments are minimal (3) events. Events being defined as a race, charity ride or providing team support at a race. Support can mean taking photo's, video handing off bottles or doing mechanical work. There are no longer sponsors so there is no bling here. I can think of no simpler way of doing this.

We are putting together a list of team mates returning and starting to get a kit order stuff together.
