Hot and Wet

That title could be for a PRON movie but it really describes my week in review. This was the hottest week that I can remember at least according to the heat index and the humidity was just insane.

Monday: 45.27 miles on the singlespeed including 2 hours in a hard rain, swam for a 1/2 hour.
Tuesday: 8 mile run, humidity was 93% when I left hard to breath.
Wednesday: 16.92 miles on the singlespeed it started to rain and I turned around and headed home.
Thursday: 34.10 miles on the singlespeed, 3 mile run ... this was a ride run ride brick.
Friday: 41.70 on the singlespeed.

In the cross hairs - Bike Shop

Today I want to send some love to one of my favorite shops:

Terry's Cycle
317 N. State Street
Alma, Michigan 48801

989-463-5260
http://www.terryscycle.com

One of the most single speed friendly shops located in the belly button of Michigan. Terry and Napper are good people and some of the most knowledgeable folks around. So check them out and if you need anything give them a call.

Neo: Whoa. Déjà vu.

Trinity: What did you just say?
Neo: Nothing. Just had a little déjà vu.
Trinity: A déjà vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something.

I would have sworn that those water bottles were on the bike when I left today. 20 minutes later I reach down and there is nothing. I should have stuck with the Blue pill. Today was a hot and muggy how could I have forgotten my ice cold bottles of Hammer Heed and Perpetuam? so I turn around and head back home, 45 minutes lost.

Adventures in LSD

Todays trip is brought to you by Sunday the day made for long slow days. All I wanted to do was get a long ride in and try my new route to connect Pontiac Lake Rec, Highland Rec and Indian Springs Metro Park with mostly back roads. I put my Garmin on the bike and did where my heart rate monitor but had no plans of really using it on todays ride just for recording.
