Spartacus 100 Route

I did some checking again tonight on the way home and large portions of the route still have not been treated with chloride. I assume it is due to the near freezing nights we have been having. The past couple years they would have been scraped and turned over for a couple weeks and treated.

As soon as most of the route becomes less a total dust suck I will post up for a weekend ride for those interested.

Stay tuned.

Spartacus 100: Ride Status - Cancelled

Based on the current strong thunderstorm forecasts for the next couple days and 1-3 " of rain expected, it has put this ride in jeopardy. I will make a decision tomorrow based on the weather updates and my ability to get a coarse marked and not washed away for Saturday. I know I wouldnt be happy with a sloppy coarse or a low turn out because of it. I will post the Ride status here by 8pm Friday night at the latest so check back.

Spartacus 100: The Countdown

Your Fair Warning!!

Okay folks, four more days until Spartacus 100! We're excited to get this underway, but I have a few admonishments to make, which will be reiterated at the Pre-Ride Meat-Up, just to make sure.

The nature of the course is a mix of "out and back" and a "big assed loop". Due to the nature of how things lay out, you folks will be getting in deeper and deeper as you progress. This comes into play as you consider your bail out options. Especially if you were silly enough not to have a support person. I know a lot of you are planning to do this solo, so here's what you need to put into your "thinkrerer".

Spartacus 100: TRAFFIC ALERT

Weekend Construction

If you are coming in from the east on M-59 there is construction between Airport road and Williams Lk road. A alternate would be to go north on Airport Rd to the first light and make a left (west) on Hatchery Rd follow this and it will come out right in front of the park entrance.
