Hey June where's the beaver?09

Good riddance May that was a tough month for trail riding and racing. The first time I have seen races postponed or delayed and I think its leaving everyone with a testosterone overload. I am hoping that June will deliver the weather before we have a major white out.

There are many fun events going on this month so check the site Calendar I'm sure I will see many of you out there this month.

Build Spotlight

After seeing some really nice builds the last couple weeks and only remembering fading glimpses of those in threads. I was thinking of adding a page just dedicated to some of the great builds that are out there.

So here is what I am thinking add a page with link at the top menu 'Spotlight Builds' or something else shorter. That page would be a index and would have a list of links to rider / builds. Then a specific page that has a photo of the bike and a component build list with maybe some rider information, maybe a few stock questions like team racing for, how long been riding single, local shop, local trail etc.

I would like to start with Wayne Cooks build then go from there. Mark Becker, Chris Werth, Shaun Welch, Brad H all have nice builds to get us started. So I put this out there if you want to play along let me know and I will start to gather and put the pieces together.

Let me know.

2010 Mileage Review

Well I finally got around to downloading and archiving my GPS data. My mileage was up a little more than average and the time in the saddle was down a little bit. The hip injury I had on December 2nd pretty much killed my hopes of hitting 6000 miles and bringing my four year average up to 5000 miles.

Trading Dirt

Lately I have been thinking about trading in the dirt bike and just go with Cannondale Capo or convert a road bike. There are so many pluses I wont go into all the details but lets say its leading more to the tri events and I don't like or want to run on dirt mtb trails (xterra).

So while on my way to my run today I'm following some women and she has two wheels off the road onto the dirt shoulder. I think well she must have just dropped her 1/4 pound cheeseburger or her fat greasy fingers just slipped on the steering wheel and she will pop right back on the road.
