Sunday June 6th the Hanson Hills Challenge xc Mountain Bike race at the Hanson Hills Rec Area in Grayling. Race #4 in the 2010 MMBA Championship Points Series. For mail in registration please visit http://funpromotions.com/registration-forms/hansonxc2010.pdf Elite/Expert race starts at 10am 3 laps on a 10.3 mile loop. Sport race at 12:30 all classes 2 laps and Beginners at 2:45pm 1 lap. Kids race at 2:15 as well for 6 & unders and 7-12 only $5 to race. Must be registered by 1/2 hour before your start. The Bicycle shop of Grayling will be at the race to support all riders. Days Inn is our lodging host an is offering a discount to the racers please call 989-344-0204 they have a coupon in the Michigan Mountain Biking News that are avabile in the lobby. Trail will be open & marked Saturday for pre-riding - there is also a trail run put on by the Hanson Hills Rec. area sat morning.

rode it...

Braved the rain and cold. finished the race on a slick course with pretty much even split times. both of which were about 2 minutes faster than the single lap I did last year in the sport class. These guys must be pushing huge gears... The only time I see them is the first 100 yards of the race and they are off an rippin...
FWIW I ran 34X16 29er. felt happy with that choice...

The battle for 1st was

The battle for 1st was awesome! They were back and forth and the final few miles just seconds apart. Great watching the 2 racing their asses off.
