Review: This was my most used purchase this year, of course the weather has a lot to do with it. This product works very well and kept my feet warm during my training rides. The stock power comes from 8 "C" batteries carried in a battery pack that lasts for up to 8 hours. Since I am cheap, I knew I had to find an alternative. Rechargeable "C" batteries would have reduced the voltage to 9.6, which I didn't think would create enough heat. I finally ended up using a 13.2 volt battery from my Niterider light set that doesn't get much use. With a little re-wiring, I had a rechargeable system that was even warmer than the original. The insoles are thick, so I ended up using a pair of shoes that were 2 sizes larger.
