Not a cross race but a short

Not a cross race but a short track. All of the intensity but without having to get off the bike :-) The courses should be pretty fast with some sections favoring a cross bike and others a MTB.

As of this afternoon the

As of this afternoon the course is rock hard and should be really fast. It is about 1.6 miles long with 85 feet of climbing, no singletrack. The school went through and gave it their fairway buzz but the grass was so dry to begin with it is hard to see where it has been cut. They also opened up some of the corners in the field to make for better pack racing. We plan on beginning to mark the course tomorrow around 1:00.

Here is the course for next

Here is the course for next Wednesday, running counter clockwise. Just a slight change from the route last week in that we will avoid the dip by the lower ball field when running this direction. The course is open for riding but not marked. There are some leftover markings from last week plus some orange paint for the MTB course.

I'm adding a short section

I'm adding a short section into Wednesday's race just to change it slightly. It may add about .2 miles to the length. Plan on a similar lap count as the previous races; A-5, B=4, and C=3. All races will start at 6:00 using 10 second intervals between classes. That should make it interesting to see who can catch up to the group in front.

BTW, if you get a chance check out the LOHS trails. Today they were in about the best shape I've seen them all year. Tacky soil, no leaves, mud or bugs.
