So which of you lucky bastards get to race on the island this weekend?
Not me, I'm heading down to Ohio to race. I did the Drummond race the first two years of the event. Good luck to those going and watch out for the bears.
Ill be racing nowhere until maybe the 6/12 of Addison. Tore my ulnar collateral ligament in my thumb last Tuesday playing soccer, in a cast for 3-4 weeks, then I can ride maybe some easy road, after 6 should be ok to race. 8 weeks till its 100% depending on how much I mess with it. We shall see. Been a week and the swelling is around 80% down. Not totally torn where I need surgery, so guess I lucked out. Going to sign up for the Detroit half marathon to stay in shape.
sorry to hear about your thumb.
I think Junk and I are going to make the trip to the island. One last hoorah before school starts.
sorry to hear about that. hope it heals up soon.

Sounds like there will be some hot tubbing
So any war stories? was there frost up there?
Just a bunch of mud. It pretty much rained from Friday night through most of Saturday. They ended the race at 10pm, the trail was a mess. 2-3" of mud in some sections and a section under water. But it was a good time, first trip to Drummond Island and it was fun even with the rain. Of course Sunday was beautiful. Now time to tear down the bike and drain all the water... Glad I'm not a gear guy.
