All I can say is that all of you who missed this event, missed a great one. Tougher than Paris-Ancaster by far. I saw a few MYSS folks out there. You guys should think about this one for next year.

I agree with Wayne. Other

I agree with Wayne. Other than the last hill at P/A, this had more climbing overall. But no mud slides or farmer's fields.

The course was tamer than a lot of rides that the NOSS group does and didn't have any really big, steep hills but enough small ones to hurt you. And the long paved grades at the end made you suffer.

I was on a 26" MTB stuffed

I was on a 26" MTB stuffed with 700 wheels and cross tires. Same basic bike I used at the SS cross races but I threw on the gears this time.

Race day

I rode my rigid 29r with 700/40 cross tires and 38/16 gearing. Not having trained properly this winter and not on the bike for two weeks leading up to this race made it difficult. Had difficulty on the climb at the 19 mile turn and walked a bit of it. After that I felt a lot better and finished strong. Very well run race and will do it again next year. Hopefully be in better shape for it.
