Chocolate Beer
The concept of chocolate beer isn't new, but Sapporo's latest product, Chocolate Brewery, sounds darn tasty. It's made with Royce chocolates, a Japanese confectioner that looks good, but I can't read a thing on the website. Fortunately, I can read what's posted on japansugoi.com, which says the beer is only available from Sapporo until the 23rd of January. Boo on them.
Luckily, there are lovely alternatives to Chocolate Brewery like Brooklyn Brewery's Black Chocolate Stout, which tastes like liquefied 70 percent cacao, carbonated into a heavenly treat. Another good brew is Sam Adams' Chocolate Bock, one of their extreme beers made with Scharffen Berger chocolate and has a rich body and smooth taste. Any other chocolate beers to note?

Joe Short, founder of Shorts Brewery, used to be the head brewer for the Jackson Brewing Co./Zig's Kettle & Brew and he created a chocolate wheat that actually took an award at a contest in Colorado. I managed to get a taste of it once, it was quite delicious.
If you're looking for a really good stout then check out Mackeson's XXX Stout. It has all the likings of a regular stout but with a strong chocolate finish. It's quite tastey but it's also about $10 or so per six pack. If endulging in a good stout, I usually pick up Mackesons or Youngs Oatmeal.
Youngs oatmeal stout is freakin good...
Havnt found a chocolate beer that I like, something just seems off.
