I know I have seen a post on this before. The reason I am looking for a new EBB is that the stock one on my Rig is locked up. What is the best advice you guys/gals have on braking this free? If I remember right it was to loosen the screw and ride it?

I will look around for that

I will look around for that thread and post up, it might be in the team area and bike specific.

Thanks

Thanks Tom, I will give it a shot tonight. Hoping that I don't have to replace the EBB after all. Would much rather save the money and get a One Niner frame over the winter.

Sorry that thread was for

Sorry that thread was for team bikes and issues after reading it again there isnt any solutions really going on in there anyway.

That new Niner EBB is supposed to be one of the good ones.

Is that a aluminum EBB and clamps the sides of the bb shell ?

If you can and I know its a pain in the arse take the bottom bracket out it helps. Your probably going to want to tear the whole thing down and clean and grease anyway.

So you have the screws out and its stuck? you might be able to put the screws in a 1/4 inch and them give them a firm tap with a hammer and allen wrench.

If they whole thing is frozen and tapping wont do there isnt much else you can do but hit it with a hammer.

Cover the EBB with a 2x4 to protect the surface where you are striking. I know it sounds crude but there isn't much else to do.

If / when you get it out of there I have had good luck coating the shell and bolts with water proof grease.

Good luck
