The Forum Privilege Shuffle
After some serious thought on who can see what and who can post where. Taking into consideration my need to keep members shenanigans in the members only forums and out of the public arena and away from sponsors, I have come to some new conclusions. The one major difference is who can post in public forums. In the past I have depended on the users judgment on what needs to go behind the wall and what can go into the public viewing. Of coarse everyone has a different idea of whats acceptable. This way I wont need to monitor/censor what gets posted to the public viewing area of the forums because it will all be behind the wall. This means a shuffle of the public, members only and team forum rights.
I will start implementing these changes this weekend and post here when completed.

There are some serious changes going on at the moment. If you are a member and logged in you should be fine if not I am going to move this thread to a forum which allows replies so you can report issues here.
While not logged in you will only see public forums.(working on this) After members log in you should be able to view and post as usual.
Muchas gracias.
Thanks for the clarification.

In response to L.C's thread in the public forums that has now been removed.
Jabberwocky?
I assume that doesn't make any sense?
There are 5 types of users (guests, members, pt team, ft team, mod/admin) currently, each with there own set of privileges. Guests cannot post they can only view the public forums at this time, they cannot view members only forums or team member forums. Members can post in public and members only forums cannot view or post to the team area. Part time team members can view and post to the public, members only and part time team forums not the full time team forums. Full time team members can view and post to all of the above mentioned forums. Mod/Admin can view and post to all of the above forums and some that are only used for site news and announcements.
This is the way it is now, it will be changing.
Hope that helps.
