Mud, Sweat and Beers

Join 499 fellow fat tire friends on May 1, 2010 for the inaugural Mud, Sweat and
Beers Fat Tire Fest in Traverse City, Michigan. Choose either a 20 mile "Stout"
ride, 10 mile "Pale Ale" ride, or kids' 1 mile mini-loop (we like to call it Mud,
Sweat and Root Beer). Capped at 500 adult riders, the race categories include beginner,
sport, expert, single/fixed speed, and tandems. First, second and third place winners
in each category (male and female) receive giant, customized glass beer steins -
the overall fastest male and fastest female trophy will be something to see!!
Right Brain beers will be tapped for adult riders, who can enjoy the kids' race
later in the day while sampling TC's best. Local food will be dished out, as well
as customized root beer mugs for the younger riders. So dust off your cleats and
jump start the best part of the year in northern Michigan: mountain bike season.

will be capped at 500 adult riders this year first year (and there are only about
200 spots available at this time).

Now that the snow has melted here in Northern Michigan, planning for this year's
Iceman Cometh Challenge is rolling. We are working on tweaking the course to reduce
traffic congestion, a whole new concept for the finish line activities, and increasing
transportation for athletes and spectators.
