Nys wins Superprestige Zonhoven -

Sven Nys (Landbouwkrediet-Colnago) won the seventh round of the Superprestige cyclocross series on Sunday in Zonhoven.

Nys attacked on the last lap of a difficult, technical 3km course to win ahead of freshly minted world champion Zdenek Stybar (Telenet-Fidea). Stybar’s teammate Kevin Pauwels crossed third.

American Jonathan Page (Planet Bike) cracked the top 10 with his ninth-place finish.

Stybar leads the series, tied at 95 points with Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus), who finished fifth on the day. Nys is third with 86. The final round of the Superprestige will be February 14 in Vorselaar.
