Spartacus 100: Blood and Gravel

Will be the name of the summer leg of the gravel grinders, the date is July 24th. This ride will take place in North West Oakland County. The starting place will be Pontiac Lake Recreation Area. This ride is open to anyone wanting the endurance challenge, whatever type of bike you ride, g e a r e d or single. There will be two beaches on coarse and the watering and beverage/food places will be marked on the map, the coarse will also be marked for the your ease of navigation.

This is a FREE ride but I am asking for a $5 dollar donation that will be sent to this rides charity. If you have any questions you can email me or post up.

My charity for this event will be the American Red Cross

I considered "The Great Harding 100" but it wasn't quite over the top enough for me. ;)

I drove the second half of

I drove the second half of this ride today. This is not going to be a user friendly ride, more like a leg breaker so be prepared for climb after climb (app. 5,000ft). There are some super fast downhills that are going to be a blast, I am guessing 30mph easy.

I will probably get out on the bike and ride this sometime in May or June to give the route any final tweaks, I will get a rough map up sometime this weekend.
