Stoney TT Race Report
Learned several things from today. Going to a race with kids is much different than by yourself. You need to leave much earlier. The weather was questionable all day, ran into rain on the way down. We got to the race late and by the time we got set up and the bike together I was able to take one lap around the parking lot and then I started. Once across the road from the start it was into the wind until I hit the trail. It was tough and I did not settle into a rythm until 25 minutes into the race. The TT course is fast with all the two track and I always forget about the climbs. Once into the single track I was feeling good. The trail has really changed since I had last been there and was like riding a new trail for the first time. The last two water crossing were a mess and there was no way to ride them. I checked my time and new I would be off the pace of the top clydesdale by a good 15 minutes. The climb to the finish was tough, but I wanted to get in under 1 hour 10 minutes and did. Which ended up being good for fourth place. Need to get more training in before O2S.

had a great time. Couldn't wait to get started. We cleaned his bike the night before and he made sure we checked his tire pressure before the race. He was riding all over while I was out for my race. He even prerode the kids course. Should of seen his face when they gave him his medal. I think he will be back. He will be doing the 1 miler at O2S.
