Championship Point Series 2012 Reminder

First- awards.
I have 2011 and 2010 awards still on hand and will bring them to Fort Custer- if you are on the list (go to this MMBA forum post http://www.mmba.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=110424 ) Please pick them up or if you know someone on the list perhaps pick it up for them?

Second- Point Series Rules-
You don't need to join MMBA or IMBA- it's not required because I have no means to verify membership

BUT- you do absolutely need to register on BIKEREG for the CPS point series- and if you raced Yankee- you MUST register by 1159pm tomorrow night May 6

Yankee

Saw some skulls at da Yankee! How'd everyone do?

Barry-Roubaix

I can't beleive there is no talk about the Roubaix. The weather was cooperative this year as the starting line saw us lined up with bare knees. The rain the night before spooked me a bit and I switched to a lighter gear for fear the roads would be a bit soft. Early on it became clear that the roads had dried nicely and firmed right up. My light gear meant lots of spinning. I averaged over 109 RPM for the race! The new SHaw Rd. section was a runner, for sure, and the traffic there was heavy.

All in all, another great Rick Plite event!

Anybody else do the race?

Now is the time to get your MiSCA club organized

Before you know it summer will be here and the school year will be over. And the fall MiSCA racing calendar starts about the time school starts back up. Now is the time to get your MiSCA club started or organized so that students can start riding together over the next few months.

If you need help in putting together a club or want more information please contact me or one of our board members. We would be more than happy to visit your school or organization. More info about MiSCA can be found at www.miscabike.org
